This program seeks to address the needs of women who have gone through the trauma of having been trafficked. A group of religious women from the Congregation of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Nigeria run the project, providing a safe haven for African women who are victims of sex trafficking between Nigeria and Italy. The project provides these women the opportunity to regain their legal documentation, learn Italian, and develop skills in sewing traditional West African crafts. These crafts are then sold at conferences and market squares to earn sustainable income for the women in a safe and dignified manner.
