Building Bridges, formerly known as the Notre Dame Women’s Training Program (Vaniyakudy, India) operates under the direction of Sr. Priscilla Dacosta in the Notre Dame Community College of Tamil Nadu. This project offers vocational training programs in nursing and healthcare, computer information technology, and early childhood education and development to young women in the community. They can then pass on their skills for the benefit of the entire community. India has the largest number of people living in poverty in the world, but through education, this project works to improve the lives of the young women and their families and community.
