This project helps to provide fortified peanut butter to children who were admitted to hospitals for malnutrition. The children once released were taken into the same malnutritious conditions as they were to start with, and peanut butter helped more than 200,000 children in 2009 whose recovery rate through peanut butter jumped from 25% to 95%. They set up sites for feeding in various communities where they use local peanuts and the local community helps the project to produce peanuts which helps the community’s sustainability.
